EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT
Acting Principal at Brockway Elementary enabled me to effectively manage all aspects of the building. Staff, students, parents, and community members all interact together in the educational process of any school. Effective management is part art and part science combined with total commitment. The most effective documentation of effective management is policy, procedure, and law. Understanding district policy is necessary and building a working relationship with the Superintendent helps facilitate effective management. Honestly, the most important aspect of effective management is the staff. It is crucial to understand human resources and act accordingly, in an ethical manner while knowing, understanding, and implementing policy and procedure.

ETHICAL LEADERSHIP
I have the knowledge, ability, and cultural competence to improve learning and achievement to ensure success of all students by acting with integrity, fairly, and in an ethical manner. I was able to apply ethical leadership on a daily basis in my time as Acting Principal and Acting Vice Principal in both the Preferred Site and Supplemental Site.

SOCIO-POLITICAL CONTEXT
The sociopolitical context is demonstrated by understanding, responding to, and influencing the larger political, social, economic, legal, and cultural context. School board meetings allow for understanding and responding to these contexts. However, it is very necessary to be pro-active to attain influence. One must be committed to building relationships in diversity and communication .
